Care Guide
We always recommend that you check the care instructions on the label on any of your garments before you wash your clothing.
All our clothes at ADISON + JÈRE are pre-washed, which means the fabric is less likely to shrink when washed. However, it’s still important to use the recommended temperatures – some garments require a cold wash while others can be machine washed in warmer water.
Looking after your clothes well, will ensure they look amazing for years to come making it a sustainable alternative to fast fashion trends.
LINEN
WASHING
MACHINE WASH
If you are washing your linen garments in the machine, please ensure you use the gentle cycle - avoid washing in cold or very hot water. Do not to crowd the machine with too many items at once as this can pull the fabric out of shape.
Wash your items that are similar to your linen garments in terms of colour, weight and washing instructions.
HAND WASH
If you are hand washing your linen garments use a gentle swishing motion in lukewarm water – do not scrub, wring, or twist the fabric.
DRYING
AIR DRY
Simply hang them up on a clothing line outside in the summer or place them on a towel in the laundry room in the winter.
IRONING
Linen is a fabric that can crease very easily so if you love the natural wrinkles in linen fabric, you can steam it which should leave that look, but if you like to iron your linen clothes make sure they are still damp before you start. You can also place a damp cotton cloth on top then iron it – make sure your iron is set to the correct linen/cotton setting.
COTTON
WASHING
MACHINE WASH
The best way to machine wash cotton is at moderate temperatures in a gentle washing cycle. Safely put your garments in the washing machine on the cold-water setting using lower spin speeds.
HAND WASH
Simply fill the basin with lukewarm water, add laundry detergent, rub the fabric gently by hand and rinse clean with cold water.

Use the cotton setting to iron your cotton garments. Put the piece of clothing flat on the ironing board and spray the garment with water slightly before applying pressure on the fabric with the iron face.
